INJURED OIL AND GAS WORKER SUES EMPLOYER AND WELL SERVICE COMPANY FOR WORKPLACE INJURIES

According to a recent news release, Simmerman Law Office, PLLC filed a lawsuit against various oil and gas firms and operators in the Circuit Court of Kanawha County, West Virginia citing claims of negligence and product liability. The lawsuit states the Plaintiff was severely injured when he tried to separate a stuck winch line and its clamp from the winch drum body. The Complaint further states the oil and gas worker was instructed to do work he was not trained for, that no one trained any employees of the oil and gas operators on safety methods with the equipment at hand, an allegedly defective industrial winch, that the Plaintiff was not provided the proper safety equipment, that parts were broken or worn out on the winch drum, and that no one told the Plaintiff he could be in danger.  The Plaintiff seeks fair and just compensation in the lawsuit.
